Sir:

This periodical has a capitalistic stance, but since many years I feel its open mind. This is the reason I am sending a letter, against both capitalism and communism, but defending socialism. I am not proposing a revolution (evolution), that only time could make. Please, let me know if I can be published. (by e-mail is easier)

Yours truly

The Letter:

SOCIAL REGIME AND ENERGY AVAIABLE.

This is not an impending menace. Not a single capitalist supporter should be afraid. There will be a plenty of leisure time to drink Cordon Bleu champagne and eat Baltic black caviar. What follows are idealistic considerations on the subject. Ricardo, Adam Smith, , Keynes, Marx, Engels never mentioned it. Only Malthus, linked social famine, by exponential growing of people, with food avaiable, in arithmetic crop.
There is a veiled link between the economic regime and available energy. Capitalism can only survive with a plenty surplus of energy. To be wasted by the rich in unrestrained way of life. It serves also for the supremacy of wealthy nations over the poor. Energy is the good most expensive, and difficult, to produce. A privilege for dominant minorities. On the contrary, Matter is so easy to obtain that is a major pollution agent. Disposal of trash matter, specially radioactive waste, is a serious problem.
With the thermodynamic path of Energy dwindling (and Entropy increasing), in time, on the whole Universe, [remember R. Clausius curse 1], Energy of any kind, will have to be spared. It is an illusion to bring Energy from outside the Earth. We must spend more Energy to by pass the second principle of Termodynamics 2. Currency in plenty will be unable to purchase energy in default. How could capitalism be practiced?? A different economic system must appear.
From the French Revolution principles, Liberté, Ègalité, Fraternité, adopted by Communism, the equality is not acceptable, because is against the biological parameters of Humans. Biological systems can be similar, but never equal. This is a guarantee that Communism will never succeed. An inventing citizen is different from an individual without imagination. And should be allowed to have a higher income. Capitalism is also not acceptable, because it puts no limits on huge gains, causing social unbalance. The communist propositon "from each one according to his assets, to each one according to his needs", will make an impossible societyt of a minority working hard, and a majority living in dolce far niente 3. Another mortal blow in Communism.
Then, Socialism is a valid choice, because it allows some greed to be practiced by components of the society. Each citizen should earn according to his capacity. This will be the
leit motiv 4 for the progress of the people. No obligation to donate anything. No charity of any kind.Just social justice. Only make adequate laws to avoid the homo homini lupus 5. Some day in the time arrow, it will happen.
As collateral factors, mentioned en passant, are the stage of development, all primitive

societies do not use any economical systems. Second, the cultural values, when spiritual (religious), or material (secular) values are more praised. Third, the riches of the nation, the more wealthy tend to syndicated capitalism. And last but not least, the most important: the number of inhabitants. For huge cifers, full capitalism is inadequate.

the cultural values, the riches of the nation, the language, the number of inhabitants in the nation (most important)

1o . "Die Energie der Welt strebt ein Minimum zu".
"Die Entropie der Welt strebt ein Maximum zu".

2o . To bring Energy from a low level to a high level, we must spend
more Energy in doing work.

3o . in sweet idle.

4o . The moving motive.

5o . The wolf that devours humans.
